Test: L’ Oreal Paris Hydra Genius Aloe Water for normal to mixed skin
L’ Oreal Paris recently launched a gel-like care product on the market. The company was inspired by the Asian market for this product. You can find out in the following article whether this product keeps its promise and what I think of its effect.
Thanks to hyaluronic acid and aloe vera, the Hydra Genius Aloe Water Gel is intended to provide the skin with intensive moisture, counteract first wrinkles and nourish and strengthen the skin.
As it is a light gel, it should penetrate very quickly, moisturize the skin for up to 72 hours, leave no sticking and give it a fresh feeling.

The glass flacon looks extremely noble. I also find the bottle’s colour quite well chosen, as it is very much reminiscent of water, health and freshness. I also think it’s good that a glass bottle was generally chosen, because I think that this glass bottle, in contrast to a normal plastic tube, has a much higher quality and makes you look more beautiful in the bathroom. It should also be noted that plastic is not always good, as it has been suggested many times that carcinogenic substances from plastic can be absorbed into the product (in this case the facial care product).

As described above, L’ Oreal Paris Hydra Genius Aloe Water has a gel-like, almost water-like consistency. If you rub the gel on your skin, you feel like you are rubbing fresh water.
The moving in
Due to its light consistency, the gel can be absorbed into the skin very quickly. However, one should not use too much. The more you use, the longer it logically takes to move in.
The wearing comfort
The L’ Oreal Paris Hydra Genius Aloe Water leaves a truly fresh and pure feeling. However, if you use a little too much, the product may be too heavy on the skin. Although I have chosen the product for normal to combination skin, I have to honestly say that I find that I feel that my skin is “too well cared for” and impurities are a little bit promoted. At least they didn’t go back. However, this may also be due to the fact that this product is adapted to the skin of the female half and is less suitable for men’s skin.
Personally, I think this product is good and would be awarded 4 out of 5 stars. In my opinion, the L’ Oreal Paris Hydra Genius Aloe Water is wonderfully suitable for people who suffer from dry or dehydrated skin. Furthermore, I can definitely imagine using this product on hot summer days. If you get a sunburn, I guess this gel can relieve the symptoms. If you spend your summer holidays in hot areas such as Egypt, Dubai etc., this gel can provide a fresh kick in the evening. The aloe vera and hyaluronic acid contained in the product help to relax the skin.
Not recommended for
I would not recommend the product to people who suffer from oily skin and often get pimples and blackheads. Especially for male readers I would recommend a gel cream (L’ Oreal Pure Power Gel-Cream), which controls talc production and contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients.
